This class is suitable for anyone checking out yoga for the first time. Students familiarize themselves with basic yoga poses that are taught with modifications and variations.
Emphasis is put on finding what feels best for each individual, as not all yoga poses suit everyone the same way.
We sometimes move up and down from the ground so if there are mobility issues instruction can be added to include working from a chair if you reach out prior to class. We also offer a Gentle Yoga class that includes instruction to practice from a chair.
Yoga blocks or straps, or similar household items are sometimes used to support the poses but not necessary to participate.
